Still Waiting

Still Waiting

I am branching out into still life painting and finding it very rewarding. Drawing objects and then painting them reminds me of old passions of my youth. Only I used crayons to fill in the color.

In this painting, I started with a digital background image of wood that I painted over using two colors and blenders in Corel Painter X. The bowl is an actual ceramic bowl I hand-painted years ago that I pulled off the shelf and drew for this digital piece. The three bottles are from a collection of sauces I use in cooking.

  1. I like this very much, Genece, it has a simplicity and peacefulness to it yet the colors are vibrant and alive! Very nice still life, it appeals to the cook artist in me.
