dancing to winter’s ryhthm
every move is wrapped in stillness
slower ever in grace as the wind wails
to the bitter sounds of silence
chilled by the season’s death

between misty trees
the mud yields to heron tracks
along the river’s bank
voices of wilderness,
as wise silent sentinels,
kiss the rich black earth
who soon are
scratching delicate
rituals in sacred waves
across nightly skies
hushed by soft colors
of turquoise blue and orange
dripping in stillness
while fishing in
supple and lithe moves
marked by the effortless grace
of their wide winged spread
standing motionless
waiting patiently to pluck

fluid motion sways in
elegant simplicity
toning the soul’s breath
while…
deep noble quiet
accepts the serenity
from understanding
grace within movement
an effortless perfection
unseen and unheard
from…
turmoil put to rest
by greater authority
fulfilled in manner
refined and shaped by
understated elegance
so correct and pure
here…
eloquent silence
underlying common place
appearances take hold
of tranquil stillness
and articulate crispness
that whispers consent
to yes…

These are two fine art holiday cards I created for family and friends. What fun I had created the dove with lace, snowflakes, snow and Peace on Earth. The white calla lilies are inspired from my floral collection.

I am branching out into still life painting and finding it very rewarding. Drawing objects and then painting them reminds me of old passions of my youth. Only I used crayons to fill in the color.
In this painting, I started with a digital background image of wood that I painted over using two colors and blenders [...]

This morning, I move through the falls, rapids, whirlpools and stoppers as I stream my consciousness. Sometimes, it requires substantial skill to negotiate the emotional levels that stretch across my soul.
As I keep writing, words appear un-dammed and the flow rises over the internal river that yearns to run the unknown distance yet to be [...]

sensuous yearnings
leave the heart ripened and juicy
savors the sweetness
When I was finished with this juicy peach, I noticed that the painting needed something besides my signature dots but I couldn’t figure out what. That is until I opened the painting in Adobe Photoshop and voila! I stated playing with filters until I hit on the [...]
