I sit in the stillness of my sanctuary where images smudge beyond specific appearances. I feel the textures of your silence, a palette of colors activating the surface of my soul. Oh my beautiful universe! How I love you!
The structures of your canvas evoke the walls of my heart where you imprint symbols of beauty [...]

Covenant of Grace
Posted in Poetry on September 17, 2007 | No Comments »
You and your heart
fall together
between reason and revelation
at the meeting point
of God and humanity
the balm of your soul
turns your heart inside-out
raises your mind up
in unmerited mercy
to pull the fountain of God
deep into the covenant of grace.
Never Too Much Purple

Violet sweetness curves the fruit of a full harvest. Their juice rolling through streams of consciousness, the liquid palette melts color onto canvas…
Surrounded by the palette of imagination, I am never too much purple. Though my chocolate silk eyes suggest other sensual shades, it is good to soak in the violet sweetness of another color. It [...]

Fluent kisses, hours
Fall Into Me
Posted in Poetry on September 13, 2007 | 1 Comment »
in the calm stillness
of a vivid opal sky
beholds our future
quietly, I hear
the vibrant sound of your breath
calling me to you
as you softly gaze
deep inside the sun’s divide
reflected on the lake
reds and oranges
hold me under the sunset
so I can see you
along the crevice
waiting for the poetry
that fuses our heart
in gentle motion
let yourself fall into me
and I [...]
Buddha Within

Soft pillows of bliss carry my heart
to the solitude of my soul.
Here, I rest in the sanctuary of stillness
where there is only the sound of breath;
deep welcoming energy flowing
in and out of my spiritual domain.
I see heaven and earth, the moon and the stars within.
Each cell twinkling like diamonds and shining inwardly
as the heart [...]
September 11 Memorial

Towers of Life
They stood hushed and glimmering in the night,
Giants able to frame the moon,
Slumbering magnificently in their might.
Day breaks and the sun gently warms their skin,
Veins begin to pulse with life,
The sprit of a thousand of kin.
Evil tears towards them through the brilliant morning sky,
Propelled by the blackest of hate,
Guided by a lie.
Barely risen [...]
The Knower

The teeth of angst
like saws of jaws
gashed the summer fields.
left behind…
old memories seared
from the ripped words
of red warriors’ truth,
raped by an uncaring kind.
charred words…
a scar blanket
coveted the sacred spot
where ashen faces faded
earth’s bleeding womb
lashed out with cries
and eyes of sorrow.
stood again to reclaim
the strength of the Knower.
the [...]

If you are not familiar with Artist Trading Cards, they’re the little cards that have become a big deal : Artist Trading Cards known as ATC’s, which are masterpieces in miniature that artists around the globe are creating and trading with each other.
Although mine is not completed above, this is the evolution of my ATC [...]
Rolling Along
Posted in Digital Painting on September 8, 2007 | No Comments »
I’m just rolling along with the morning–only motivated to paint a green pasture. Though it is already mid-morning, I am not fully awake (thanks to my cat, Serena). The good thing is that I have nowhere to be, nothing pressing. That means, I’ll finish this post to catnap with Serena. Perhaps I’ll dream of my [...]
